No landmarks or any features really to identify the location!
However I will stab at a guess: Somerwood/Rodington area, near Haughmond Hill?

I can see your reasoning, as it's an excellent guess, but too far north and east.

I am thinking it may be around my old stamping ground of Whitcott/ Clun / Newcastle/Bicton.......
Only because most of the roads look like that and because I am the biggest lurker EVER!!! :D

Hmm... must be to the west of Dorrington then, possible near Stapleton. Can't name the exact road though! I cycled around that area about 2 years ago.

i was getting there, as i worked out it was my side of a49 and thought picklescott way. is it after picklescott , before you make your way up the longmynd?
