From Shrewsbury Council's web site
"Recycling residents may notice that the popular bring site in Frankwell car park has been relocated. The entire site, which has containers for glass, cans, paper and plastic bottles, has been moved from the far corner of the car park to a more suitable location near the footbridge into the town centre."
I hope it's well screened otherwise it could be the first thing all the those tourists and visitors they are trying to attract will see.

? errm, because the last thing we want visitors to see is that we as a town are proactive on environmental matters like recycling!??
Times are changing. I know you probably mean in terms of rubbish and litter but recycle points aren't usually like this. It isn't a big pile of bin bags. Have you seen it? Used it? Making it more accessible can only be a good thing. I'd rather locals and visitors alike throw drinks cans into the recycling point than into the river.
I'm all for recycling and personally recycle as much as I can and welcome any additional effort on the part of local authorities and organisations to encourage and facilitate hassle free recycling in the town
We always take our items to the recycling point at Morrisons, I guess when our fortnightly collections come in then we will have to do more otherwise there will be many overflowing bins in Shrewsbury.
