Title: Shrewsbury Travel Chaos

Its just taken me and I'm sure many others 40 minutes to travel from Monkmoor Road to the Whitchurch Road as there has been a reported three car accident in Spring Gardens.

It just goes to show the volume of traffic on the roads and how closing one of Shrewsbury's main streets into the town can cause so many problems.

How glad am I that I filled up with petrol last night, if it had happened yesterday I would have panicked being stuck in the traffic with the needle on red

I hope those involved are ok!

Funny thing about Shrewsbury is that it has plenty of roads (other than the town centre which obviously wasn't designed for large amounts of traffic) but it still manages to get congestion in many places. St Michaels Street, Spring Gardens and Ditherington Road is a problem stretch as well as Harlescott Crossroads.

Hopefully the planned North West Relief Road will take some traffic away from the town, especially along the routes I've just mentioned.
