Title: Sensible Policies
Description: Cameron getting his act together?

This is probably the most sensible and much needed (constitutional-wise) policy to come out of the Conservative party for a long time:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/6272281.stmCertainly will be very popular with the majority of English voters who feel that the UK is biased against England (which in many ways it is now). It's a sensible compromise solution against the other options of: no devolution; having an English parliament as well; or the United Kingdom breaking up.
Is Cameron getting his act together? I hope so, as I would rather like him to be Prime Minister instead of grumpy Scotsman Gordon!

Quite honestly David I think because of immigration issues and, I'm not party to any of other political parties such as UKIP and even the BNP, hold the death knell to Mr Cameron, who personally I feel is too 'wet' anyway and his party seem way out of touch with the British people and will be as long as this 'blogger' is at the helm of the current conservative party. I think a strong contender for the leader of the conservative party would be Ann Widdicombe, if she lead the conservatives she would certainly get my vote

That is an interesting post. She does come across as a genuine, caring politician who is not afraid to speak out for what she thinks is right. As a result, she probably has little chance of becoming the leader of any political party.

It was Michael Howard, as Home Secretary, who started the asylum flood in the first place.
From Ted 'traitor' Heath to John Major, the Tories have done the most to surrender British independence.
Given that New Labour are much better Tories than the Tories themselves -it appears that there's nowhere for that dripping-wet liberal Cameron to go - apart from the left of New Labour maybe.

By turning a blind eye to Islamic radicals in the 80's and 90's, the Tories are hugely responsible for the crisis we face now. They allowed hundreds of hardline imams to come to our shores without any vetting procedure whatsoever.
Back in1979, Thatcher told voters that she was aware of people's concerns over immigration. This, no doubt played a major part in her election victory.
She may well have been aware of people's concerns - But she did nothing about it once she was in power
