Some photos of the floods in Shrewsbury in January 2007.

View from Chester Street (which was just about to flood itself).
Shrewsbury-on-Sea? Frankwell Quay and the Guildhall (nicely protected of course).
Phoenix Place (and to a lesser extent Roushill) flooded.
Raven Meadows starting to flood - the underground areas (where lorries unload) of the shopping centres had already gone under.
The Welsh Bridge.
The bowling greens and tennis courts by Town Walls under water.
Looking towards Coleham Head from the Greyfriars Bridge and we see the flood defences there going up.
Old Coleham well under water. The Rea Brook flows around the back of here.
The huge pool of water where the Rea Brook and Severn meet.
For reference, the water level when these photos were taken was at 4.30m or so. Except for the one of the Guildhall/Frankwell Quay, which was taken the day before and the water level was lower (around 3.70m).
