Title: Harlescott Roadworks
Description: January/February 2007

Proud Salopian - January 6, 2007 05:20 PM (GMT)
Because of the building of the new Tesco and associated improvements to the nearby highways, there will be some road closures over the next couple of weeks.

Battlefield Road between Harlescott Crossroads and the junction with the Retail Park/Park and Ride will be widened significantly.

Yeah, people see the road closed & diversion signs and think they dont aply to them only to have to turn round and come back, oh, next week you can get a free driving license in rice crispies

As a result of the roadworks last week we saw traffic building up from the bottom of Heathgates Bank through Mount Pleasant all the way to the roundabout by Radio Shropshire then onto Lancaster Road and also up past The Grange School.

In a morning traffic also backs into Greenfields from under the railway bridge in Chester Street.

I think the first phase is to be completed before the end of this month and then moves onto the lights by homebase.
