My sister has just phoned to tell me that she has been locked in Nettos!!

Apparently all the customers have been locked in and the police have closed off the whole area as there is a man armed with a gun across the road.
She said the armed police have just gone in so she hopes to be out soon.
I think she will keep it quiet that she is a psychiatrist!

You can always tell it's serious when the police park their cars diagonally across the road!

Just heard Chris give a really good report of the incident on the radio. Nice work Chris.

Well she's still in there and they have been told to keep away from the windows. Apparently Netto staff are making them a cup of tea or coffee.

Victory, they've got him and my sister says she can't stop now to see me 'cos she has got to get home as she's playing netball tonight! :(
The police went in with a dog and riot shields but Chris (my sister) said he didn't look very dangerous when he came out , a little squirt of a lad IHHO! :D

Yes an interesting hour or two this afternoon, the first we knew about it was from a jambuster call asking why the police where taping off around Netto. I was asked to take a look and parked up close to the studios just before they cornered off the English Bridge side of the road and stopped letting people walk past.

So it only must have been happening for a few mins before we had hold of the story. Which is great as this is what it’s all about passing on information for the area as quickly as possible.

Being able to roam around and still have a link back to the studio was also helpful in finding our more info.

Hopefully we kept everyone informed into what was happening.

There a rum lot around Abbey Foregate Chris !! What next? Will Tudor streaking round the Abbey followed by Mazza mobile ! :o
