Title: Shrewsburys Roads
Description: Are they getting worse ?

As I crawl into work in traffic queues which seem to get longer and longer each day ive noticed the roads seem to be deteriorating around the town. Is this because of development or are the planners going to blitz the town with crisp new surfaces of ashphalt when all the development stops. I dont have a camera but I'm sure the snap happy people on these threads who take amazingly good quality pictures can reinforce my querie ?

Which roads would you like photos taken of? I get annoyed by the Welshpool Road and Shelton Road (largely because I use these roads the most) but I realise that in the grand scheme of things they aren't that important.

Just roads that are in disrepair SCC have a liability to keep them relitavely maintained. I'm told insurance companies who receive claims from motorists are now starting to sue councils regarding large potholes and even in some cases damage caused to vehicles suspension from 'sleeping policemen'. We do all pay, well most of us, a road tax. I just cant put my finger on when most of the roads to the town were last resurfaced. I know harlescott has been done but places like Ditherington seem to be poorly maintained

If you think it's bad in Shropshire you should see the roads here in Manchester... many are just the old Victorian cobbles with patches of tar on them. I'm not joking.
