Slightly negative response from me here I'm afraid... (I'll try to keep it constructive though).
This is your first post on this forum but you don't bother to introduce yourself, you just plug your commercial website. Slightly poor form.
The web address you posted is just a redirect to a free hosting site. That doesn't make for a good image, neither does using your home ISP's email address. Hosting is pretty cheap these days, around £5 a month to do everything you need. That equates to £60 a year which I admit isn't nothing but if you can afford it, it's worth it.
With regards to the site itself, it is screaming out for content. You can't rely on your advertisers to provide it all. If you are passionate about Shropshire then write something about it, go out and take some photos (don't just lift them from other websites!). Make it useful. Also, it looks a lot like you've just dropped small bits of detail into a pre-made template. If you can, avoid pre-made templates or at least tweak them to make them your own.
Go through and proof read the site.
For the site to work, it needs to get hits from search engines. This is where content is so important. It needs to be interesting enough that other people will link to it and that the forum is active.
Hope you haven't taken offence to any of my comments and I wish you the best of luck going forward.
Anthony

"AllShropshire" as it appears above, does not reflect the spirit and flavor of the County of Shropshire. The blue field is more Martian than Salopian.
Nor does the language of the site use good English.
Make some changes, please, so that I feel that I am visiting a corner of my favorite English County, when I check it out the next time.

Don't give up so easily! You've got the domain so now go make something of it. If need be, use a template, but perhaps buy one from a template site. And don't go for the awful flash ones, but rather a simple base from which you can build a more unique page.
If you need hosting and don't have the money, then see what your ISP offers you. They can usually supply the hosting that can work in conjunction with a domain.

Sorry if my comments caused you to take down your site. Local sites done well are a really good idea. I hope you rework and relaunch.

Yes, please don't give up.
My remarks two nights ago show me as quite stuffed. I was negative and haughty. And I have need, often enough, for proofreading by another set of eyes, for my own writing.
There is a good market, extending not only through Britain, but even across the Atlantic, for the kinds of information and resources that your site would offer, if I recall what I did see the other night. For Shropshire is still undersold (i.e., not adequately recognized and valued for all that it offers) -- both for tourism (that, I know) and for families and businesses (that, I earnestly believe). A site such as yours could help further all these interests. And your site could eventually attract advertisers for itself, in order to begin to compensate you.
So "Chin up" and get back into it.
