KiCk3R - September 12, 2006 11:26 PM (GMT)
1. The good old lady on "The Star" ... selling the newspapers near the railway station. She has been there for AAAAAggggEEEEEsssssSSS
2. The big issue ladies! one of them deafened me! Where did all the men go?
3. Where did the big clock in the Darwin Shopping Center go?, you know the one at the entrance!
Anymore you can think of?

How can the card shop next to or near Boots be so long? (Not Card Warehouse, the one on the other side).
Proud Salopian - September 14, 2006 08:21 AM (GMT)
Well it probably follows a medieval strip of land, which are long and thin.
Ever been shopping in Newport (not that I suggest you do)? Many of the shops there still are based on the old stips of land radiating from the High Street.

Did the battle of Shrewsbury really take place at Battlefield?
How do some of the smaller shops survive when you hardly see shoppers go in or out?
Will the St. Julians Friars development ever be completed?

Nope. It actually took place where Harlescott Grange is now.
Most close after 6 months only for the premises to be occupied by a similar shop 3 months later which also closes after 6 months.
No. :P

Does anyone care when what's been built is so crappy.
If that's what we're getting around Rowley's House then I despair. :(

Quite! It makes you wonder how the hell they got planning permission for St Julian's Friars. I think something dodgy went on behind the scenes, to get development started. Well, it started... then stopped... you never know though - construction may one day resume!

I don't think that historians have been able to agree an exact location for the battle nor for any burial site.

My "Shrewsbury Mystery" Question:
Why is the train to or from Wrexham always late or cancelled?!

It's to give you time to come to your senses and change your mind. Are you really sure you want to go to Wrexham?

That explains why the Grange school teachers are always battling with their pupils.

Ah, now, you see, it's not a train that I get, it's a train that my friend gets (she lives near Mold), I pick her up from Shrewsbury. But the train is always late... Or, in today's case, cancelled. Useful.

Fair enough, sorry for being flippant.

Looking at the site over the past two years and that would appear to be right!
