to make up for so little duck news...

A pair of Nightjars(sometimes called Goatsuckers) have been seen in Clunshire.

This is the first sighting in Shropshire for over 20 years.

Did they wander in from Wales?

And why are they called "Goatsuckers"?

I think that the latin name means goatsucker.

people used to think that they sucked the goat's milk at night.
