Title: Internet Cafes In Shrewsbury
Description: Where???

Fugz - August 17, 2004 07:42 AM (GMT)
Visiting Shrewsbury (my old home) after xmas 2004...... and am desperate to keep in touch with friends all over the world while in "forced exile" aka visiting the relatives.
Please - anyone - are there any internet cafes in Shrewsbury - and where!!

As far as I'm aware there isn't an internet cafe in town... but you might be able to use the library's computers (depends if the library is open at the time of course). Hmm.. <_<

Its a shame but internet cafe's never last that long in Shrewsbury.

I think the last one was broken into the computers where obviously stolen and it never re-opened. If I remember correctly it was a franchise called Mega Bytes.

Shrewsbury's main library has internet access I'm not sure how much it costs or if its for regular Library users only.

TY for that - you don't cheer me up!!!
Its 2004 ffs :)
Even my little corner of NZ has 4 places in town with access!!

Yes, but Shrewsbury has no university (and therefore no students who need the internet and don't have it "at home") and I would say the majority of Salopians have the internet at home anyway... so there's no demand for an internet cafe here! Sorry.

But it's still a reasonable Tourist attraction with all that tudor stuff..... just surprises me there is nothing. We are not a University town here, and population 30,000, and still manage 3-4 places with 1-2 computers with fast access.... and one small internet cafe / lan gaming.
