I know there's a pictures area, but it seems like a Shrewsbury pictures area, and I wasn't in Shrewsbury, so, you know... This was taken on 29 March 2006, at 11:14am, on the beach at Amroth, Pembrokeshire, where I was on a field trip. This picture was the best I could do with what I've got...

Interesting picture, particularly as I was in London on the day of the eclipse and could barely see the sky let alone the sun at the time! Were you staying locally around Amroth or was it a day trip?

I was staying in Tenby from Monday-Friday, the cloud cover was just the right level - heavy enough to take out the extreme brightness, and light enough that it didn't block the sun completely. I didn't use any filter at all for the picture, apart from the clouds.

Good picture -I totally forgot about this myself and ended up missing it.
