Title: British Summer Time
Description: Clocks go forward tonight.

Proud Salopian - March 25, 2006 06:23 PM (GMT)
Just to remind everyone that the clocks go forward tonight, by one hour, at 1am. :)

To change the time on this board, go to "My Controls" then "Board Settings" and click on the box where it says "...daylight savings...". It's as simple as that.

Sadly it all means that we lose an hour of this weekend.

More to the point, why do we carry on with this outdated ritual?

Chris Pritchard - March 25, 2006 09:07 PM (GMT)
Oh blimey here we go, I'll be running around the house tomorrow morning changing all the clocks :(

Good to see the weather becoming more Spring like this weekend, just as the clocks change into summer time. :)

It's going to be a wet week coming up.

spring in the 21st century.

I heard my first ice cream van chimes of the season today.

it used to be a cuckoo that sounded the arrival.

Snap, I saw an ice cream van today too :)

Still no frog spawn in our pond, although the daffs are now starting to open in the garden.

Referring to my earlier post, I did end up changing all the clocks this morning only took 10 minutes to complete.

did you change your clock on here?

avronb - March 26, 2006 07:50 PM (GMT)
Hi Chris
There is a right frog orgy going on in my pond, with plenty of spawn.

Chris Pritchard - March 26, 2006 08:25 PM (GMT)
We have the frogs just no spawn, unless its all sunk to the bottom maybe?

Our fish are now starting to surface, I gave them a small amount of food the other day when it was sunny but they where not interested so I scooped it back out.

The fish will eat the frog spawn,a wild life pool should contain no fish.

Chris Pritchard - March 26, 2006 08:37 PM (GMT)
Thats it then, its not a wildlife pond, its just the frogs end up making it their home.

I'll try and find some pics I took last summer of the lillies in full bloom.

The frogs become realy tame ,in fact, last summer we had the back door open and a couple of frogs joined us in the front room, drawn in by the light i guess, without fish you might get newts and toads.
