King Charles spaniel or golden labrador would be my pick. Since some days I'm working in other people's offices, though, it would be unfair on the dog to leave (s)he unattended all day. Back to rabbits, guinea pigs and chinchillas for me...

I would go with a golden labrador too, My boyfriend wants one but we have a house rabbit so I would be scared incase it ate my bunny!!
I might give in when the kids are old enough to walk a dog too.
But they are lovely dogs, I had one as a child and he was so laid back and lovable.

did you see the tv program about fat pets Willow?

I did see that programme, sorry I didnt reply earlier Ive had no internet access for a fortnight.
I couldnt believe that anyone could feed their pets to death, I was on the edge of my seat when the woman with the rottweiller(sp?) took the dog to be groomed and the groomer had a dig at her for having a fat dog.
She really took offence to that, but I have to say I agreed with the groomer, the poor dog could hardly walk it was so fat! Its bordering on animal cruelty.

labradours are good, but personally i dont think they've got a huge amount of personality, but then again iv got a Pattersdale crossbreed and i love it cause its a loonatic! What sort of character do you want from a dog?
