WHERE HAS EVERYONE GONE?

This forum doesn't have the membership that it really ought to have. We must try to get more Salopians on here and posting!

I wonder if 'advertizing' on other messageboards might help or even try getting local radio to give the forum a plug?

Well hopefully Shrewsbury FM will give us regular plugs... ;)

But yes, could all members on here please try to promote the forum to anyone they think would be interested? :)

People are looking,judging by the number of views,but for some unknown reason they dont contribute anything.

We do get lots of views, as avronb says we need to get people to stay.

In reality how about we expand into a Shropshire Forum, with sub forums for towns? Shrewsbury, Telford, Oswestry, Wem etc... One project I'm working on at the moment is a Shropshire version of Shrewsbury Guide, so a larger forum could fit in well.

We don't carry adverts on here at the moment, I personally pay to have them removed by the forum providers, but I'm thinking I could see how much it would cost for a one off advert in the Admag or a Shropshire Star supplement.

We could have another Guest Posting week for new members next week? But Proud Salopian, myself and Chris Bradley (are you still alive Chris) will have to be vigilant with posts to make sure there's no spamming or the like.

Let me know what you think of these idea's?

Yes Chris. I am still here. I've just been busy recently what with work and being asked to get involved in a 4 month web project for which I am working on a few ideas and it looks like I will be designing and implementing the entire web based element.

I tend to have a browse of the forum every morning but often dont have time to reply or have anything worth contributing.

I have quite a few pictures of the town center which I have been meaning to organise and upload to the pictures section for a while. I may have a million things to do but I am still around.

There is everything for everyone on these boards,from the silly to the serious,i have joined other message boards in the past,but this is the one i have stayed with the longest.Covering more of Shropshire is a good idea,but there will still be the problem of people not bothering to join in.

Here's what myself and Proud Salopian have decided to do, regarding a possible expansion into a Shropshire Forum.

We will remain as a Shrewsbury based forum but now have a Shropshire sub forum for the discussion of other Shropshire towns and issues regarding rural Shropshire, hopefully this may encourage others from outside Shrewsbury to become active on the forums.

Depending on how popular this is we could expand in the future.
