Has anyone else been caught up in traffic on the Whitchurch Road?

Sundorne Road being closed is causing some really long tailbacks. Last night I spent 10 minutes getting from Harlescott Crossroads to the junction of Rosedale on the Whitchurch Road.

Then this morning a large lorry was trying to come from Sundorne Road via Sundorne Avenue and then down Albert Road to get back to Heathgates Island.

Anyone who knows the area will imagine that the lorry would have difficulties turning into First Avenue. Albert Road is already being used as a short cut at the moment to the point of cars cueing along it at times.

It really goes to show just how much we rely on roads being open and useable everyday. Apparently the work to install a new drainage system has not progressed for two days although how true that is I'm not sure.

Sorry rant over although I advise to say clear of this end of town during peak times if you can at all help it.
