Currently the UK faces a major energy decision - we need to replace all the coal and nuclear power stations that will be decommissioned over the next ten years.
Should we go for nuclear power as a clean (carbon dioxide wise) option, or should we avoid nuclear power due to safety concerns?
The first option is "nuclear all the way" - ie. build as many nuclear plants as we need for electricity.
The second option is "only partly nuclear" - ie. build some nuclear plants, but also look at alternatives.
The third option is what it says ("no").
I'd say I'm for nuclear power, as we need to both reduce carbon dioxide emissions and generate enough power to keep the country's lights on. I fear that if we don't go nuclear then we'll face energy shortages.
Or maybe energy consumption should decrease along with less power being generated?
