This is Shilps. Have just moved into this quaint picturesque town of Shrewsbury and enjoying the stay. It has the feel of antiquity equipped with modern amenities. Since my husband works in Telford, needless to say, we will be here for quite a while. My work experience has been in the field of television and media production, jobs in which are hard to find in Shropshire. I would like it if I could get some insights or ideas from fellow Shrewsbury mates. You can imagine how tricky it can be to be in a new place without contacts or network. This is my attempt to build my contact, meet interesting people and also find out about job prospects in this place. Since I have an abiding interst in community work and have volunteered in the past, work prospects in this field is something I am willing to explore. Also information about local youth, community, adventure, photography and nature clubs.
Hope to be enlightened by all the good people here, which will make my life constructive in Shrewsbury.

I'm pleased you are enjoying your stay here in Shrewsbury, your previous work experience sounds interesting. Its an area of the industry that's not really accessible in Shropshire. For work like that it would mean commuting for better work opportunities.
