Residents and business in the North of Shrewsbury are now able to access the internet at faster speeds as of 25/02/2004.

A campaign to persuade BT to broadband enable the Harlescott telephone exchange reached its target of 500 registrations of interest in November last year.

BT have now completed work on the exchange and have installed and upgraded existing equipment, enabling always on internet connections and faster e-mail and browsing at speeds up to 2Mb.
