Title: How To: Add Pictures
Description: A Guide to Uploading & Hosting Pictures

ChrisBradley - September 14, 2005 04:04 AM (GMT)
We have found an image hosting service http://www.2and2.net/index.php?i=upload that allows you to upload images for free and without registration that can be linked to a forum post.

You can upload your pictures to either you own webspace or use the free 2and2 Internet service and link to you pictures by following the procedure below.

Click the IMG button on the bar at the top of the post enter the direct link to the picture eg http://yourwebaddress.com/image.jpg and click OK to include the picture in the post.

Our recommended picture size is 640 x 480 (or closest if using a 3:2 camera format) pixels because of file size and display layout although smaller pictures will be fine.

To use the 2and2 service follow these steps:

1: go to http://www.2and2.net/index.php?i=upload

2: at the bottom of the page enter your name and a picture title and click browse to locate the picture on you computer (pictures are limited to 1MB but a 640 x 480 pixel sized picture should be well under that limit) and once selected click OK.

3: If you wish the image to remain private and not viewable on the 2and2 website click the private option otherwise leave it unchecked as default.

4: click the upload button and wait for a message telling you that the picture has been added.

5: make note of (or copy and paste) the address given which should be something like http://www.2and2.net/Uploads/Images/shropshladtest.jpg

6: paste the website address given for the uploaded image using the [IMG] button as described above to link directly to the image from your forum post.

For example using the the link http://www.2and2.net/Uploads/Images/shropshladtest.jpg

would link to the image below and display it here when used with the [IMG] button
