hello just a quick word to get you all to visit our museums.Rowleys house is free to everyone so why not pop in this weekend.

Shrewsbury Castle and the regimental museum are also free of charge to all local residents.

when was the last time you visited these ?

Been to the Castle's museum quite recently, but it's been ages since I went to Rowley's House.

Interestingly, once the new theatre is built the museum at Rowley's House is planned to move to the Music Hall.

...and then Rowleys will be sold off to the private sector,so pop in soon before this gem of a building is lost to the public forever.

Actually I doubt Rowley's House will be sold off to the private sector - it's too old to be useful, unless a lot of investment is pumped in. Instead I can see someone like English Heritage, who recently aquired the Flaxmill, getting it from the council. You're right though - it would be a shame if it was lost to the public.

the council have said that it would be most suited to appartments or a hotel so pop in soon, even if only to take a picture of the passage for your shuts and passages post.
