I never use any other search engine these days except for Google. I remember a few years ago and I was using others such as Yahoo, Lycos and AltaVista, but they've completely disappeared from my internet usage.

A handy tool on google, btw, is the conversion calculator. Just type into the search box something like

5.784ft in m

(ie. 5.784 feet in metres) and it will do it! It's great stuff.. :)

Also works for normal maths and converting degrees C into F (and vice versa).

I use google especially when searching for pictures as its the best for spidering other sites.

Yahoo! would come a close second for my uses, I used to use Altavista about 6 years ago but no I have completly abandoned it also Lycos I gave up on.

I use a variety of search engines, including Google and Yahoo. Not all websites are listed with all search engines. In other words, you might find what you're looking for with one engine, when you didn't find it with another. So, don't limit your useage to one engine. I use about a half dozen different search engines. Each of them has their merits when it comes to finding what you want.

Oh look... so far 100% Google... :rolleyes:

It really has become the dominant search engine! It's even a word now (as in "I'd better google that to find out.." etc)!
