Title: Can You Help

conna - April 1, 2010 07:27 PM (GMT)
Hi,

A friend and I are keen, amateur metal detectorists, looking for land in the general West Midlands and immediate surrounding areas to detect on..... (Pref. within an hours drive of the Wolverhampton area).

Does anyone on the forum have land in the regions specified that they might be happy for us to visit? We are more than willing to sign a detecting contract and will supply references if required.

Any help that you might be able to offer would be greatly appreciated. For a selection of our previous finds, please see the following Flickr page:

Best wishes to all,

Conna ;)

Have you given up on ghosts then?

Hiya Lemon Squeezer

Absoloutely not matey, in fact we have an investigation this coming Friday the 9th over at Tamworth.

Metal detecting is something I have wanted to do for years but never got around to until 9 months ago. I was always too busy fishing of a weekend something I did since I was 5 years old, I'm 47 now. I decided to give fishing a rest 12 months ago after my dad passed away, something we did together for many years. Metal detecting now takes up at least one of my weekend days, trouble is though finding fresh land to go on. It's very addictive I can tell you :D

Regards ;)

Metal Detecting, decided to give it a go got a detector and went out with my son,we found a model helicopter and a 2p on Aberystwyth beach gave up in disgust although I would love a go on a proper organised trip.
Ghost hunting sounds interesting believe in somthing but orbs I think ar either dust or light anomolies.
Pete Jones from Clip Joint showed me some interesting pictures in his cellar of orbs.

Hiya Pete,

Your right about the Orbs, they're nothng more than dust and moisture particles but there are so many wannabe ghost clubs with websites full of pictures of them claiming to be ghosts. If only they would do their research first.

Metal detecting is a great way of getting some much needed excercise and it is very addictive. Getting permission from landowners is the difficult bit though.

Regards ;)

Hi Conna

Yes the orb thing I believe is ridiculous as It is obvious what it is,however I do believe that sufficent evidence exists to prove a supernatural existance of some sort.
It is a subject I share an interest in I believe once in a property in Ironbridge I saw what they call ectoplasim (hope that is spelt right) I understand to be a part manifistation it scared s$$t out of me,I have never done a ghost hunt but have seen some interesting displays of mediumship.

I thought a lot of the manifestations of ectoplasm were no more than early 20th century frauds. However, this doesn't disprove everything. I've an open mind - what did you see?
