Title: Mp Angered By Cattle Ban
the old codger - June 3, 2008 11:40 PM (GMT)
Shrewsbury's MP is said to be furious that he has been banned from bringing a cow into the palace of Westminster's precincts or onto the green outside parliament.
His plan was to transport the unfortunate animal all the way from his Shrewsbury constituency to Westminster to illustrate the threat from bovine TB to the dairy industry. Huh? Does the cow have TB? What about animal welfare?
Lovely piece in the Shropshire Star supporting the ban, and pointing our that the cow could have caught Westminster MP, a disease with symptoms which can include baying, following each other like sheep, loss of independent thought and isolation from the grass roots. He would be ok with a bull though it says as a lot of MPs speak their language

Was he planning to take it on our new through train?
I believe they could have both listened to moo-sic through earphones or moo-ved their way down the train, though I don't think one of them could have squeezed into the toilet which could have had repercussions!
Moo-ning through the train window might have raised an eyebrow but moo-ting the culling of all wild animals to save the dairy industry when they got to Westminster would have definately not amoo-sed fellow MPs! :D

He has been a busy little* fellow recently!
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/7435041.stmClearly doing all this publicity for himself is extremely wearing. There's no firm evidence that anti-Pole violence has exploded all over the country. However, that's not going to stop our Dan from trying to get his name in the papers as an opponent of some mythical foe he calls the "liberal elite". I wonder what publicity angle he'll be aiming for next week? Petrol prices, perhaps?
(* Yes, I do know that he's actually about 6ft 13)

Kawczynski does some strange stunts! He is already getting a bad reputation by some tabloids. I just wonder if his behaviour may eventually hamper his role as MP for Shrewsbury he seems to put his feet right in the preverbial. It comes across to me that he seems to create publicity to further his career in politics by any means regardless how it seems to his constituents. Seeing him on newsnight tonight regarding immigration and Poles working in Britain seems to add fuel to the fire IMO Kawczynski could be adding to the problem rather than just highlighting it. He seems to come across as he has his 'head in the clouds' too.

TW. He actually accused the Crewe and Nantwich labour party of ''racism'' in his interview on newsnight. I will be interested to see how the race relations board deal with this accusation tomorrow

In a matter of hours he has introduced a bill for an extra bank holiday (to honour his countrymen), tried to take a cow to Westminster, upset the BBC and made accusations of racism which if true should be reported. I have a feeling that the whips might be having a word in his ear.
