Title: Reputable Estate/letting Agents

HJH07 - May 9, 2008 11:32 AM (GMT)
Hello! We asked a similar question some time ago and received some helpful replies. We would like to know if any Estate/Letting Agents are more reputable than others as we need to find a property to rent. We have been unable to sell ours but still need to be in Shrewsbury but mid June. We are not thrilled at the prospect of renting but needs must!
We would value any local knowledge of agents who are better at this sort of thing as we don't want to come a cropper! Also if any one knows of any private lets this could be useful. Ideally we need a 3 bed and have a dog.
Thanks in advance.

From experience my grandparents used to rent from Belvoir - very nice people with good standards so you know the properties are clean!! Take my advice when i say stay away from Miller Evans - we are with them at the moment and i wish we'd never bothered - the house wasn't clean when we moved in, they never keep up their regular inspections and send reports to the landlords that all is well despite never turning up!! I'm not sure of any others from experience but i hear that Samuel Woods were good although i'm not sure if they still let but it would be worth finding out!! Hope that helps anyway!!

Pooks are pretty good I'd say. But then I'm in the same position as you except that I'm leaving Shrewsbury and can't sell so likely to stick my 4 bed for rent with them B)

I rent from Belvoir in Shrewsbury. They're very good.
