Title: New Traffic Plan
Description: What's the verdict?
Shrewsbury Sixth Form College - April 7, 2008 12:45 PM (GMT)
Is anyone else as confused about the new one way traffic system as i am? It wouldn't be so bad if warning signs were put up in the areas affected, many motorists this morning have been swerving at the last minute for lane changes etc!! It might make it less dangerous if it did!! Any further thoughts so far.......????

Well before anyone says it, it's got nothing to do with the planners at SABC so lay off! ;) It's the highways lot at Shropshire County Council to blame. So blame them.

Well Shrewsbury Sixth Form College if you were at the London road site you wouldnt have a problem
Pedestrianise the lot I say !

We don't have a problem - we like it here. New traffic plan is just confusing that's all. No-one said we had a problem. The less traffic here then the better it is for our students so we are all for it actually!!!

I'm quite enjoying cycling the 'wrong' way down Town Walls!

I know - strange isn't it? Makes you feel almost naughty for doing it

I understand its going to be permanent too!

It might be. Also depends on whether plans to close High Street to traffic go ahead.

If they do close High Street,it would only be to us "punters" anyway, surely..?
We'll still have lorries, delivery vans,buses(..half empty!) and of cause the obligitory Blue Badge Brigade(..who feel they can just pull up as and where ever they want, because "..it's their right!.." ),needing/having access.
