Do you want to know more about how rubbish and recycling is handled in Shropshire? Find out first-hand when a rubbish and recycling roadshow arrives in a town near you this month!
Veolia Environmental Services has the job of looking after much of the county’s waste following the award of a 27-year integrated waste management contract by Shropshire Waste Partnership [SWP] last October. The contract includes waste and recycling collection services in Bridgnorth, Oswestry, North Shropshire and South Shropshire areas and waste transfer and disposal across the county. New facilities are also planned for Oswestry, Bridgnorth and Shrewsbury.
The roadshow is being taken around the county for two weeks from Tuesday January 8 before it settles at The Lantern, Shrewsbury, close to the company’s Shropshire HQ and Recycling Centre at Battlefield, for a further week.
Leaflets and information will be available throughout opening hours on all dates, but on certain days [marked with an *] staff from Veolia and SWP will be on hand from 11am - 2pm to answer questions directly. Look out for a notice in the local library or council office.
