An interesting look back to the filming of the 1984 film "A Christmas Carol" in Shrewsbury...

However there are a number of mistakes in the descriptions which the Sloppy Star gives. In case they don't publish my comment on the website...

"A few wrong location descriptions there - number 5 is Fish Street (the church seen is St Julian's and not Old St Chad's), number 6 shows what was the Old Plough on The Square (the Ask restaurant is to the right of the photographer, on the other side of High Street) and number 7 is The Crescent on Town Walls. I'm not even sure if number 4 does show the Music Hall car park!

They haven't posted your comment yet, presumably it's 'awaiting moderation', to be put up once this item drops off the front page of the Star website... The three comments up already are very odd.

Some real sloppiness in those captions, though. It's a real shame, since all the photos (especially the one of the horse and cart outside The Crescent) are superb.
