Title: Lettting Rip

I read in the Shropshire Star that our MP has been on the publicity trail again this time in a protest over the proposed closure of the ambulance centre.
It appears he stood near Downing Street with a placard accompanied by the paper's London correspondent and a photographer. Police told him that he was breaking the law because he had no permission to be there.
His quoted reply was "I intend to stand here unless you tell me that you are going to arrest me. If you do, I'm going to let rip in the House of Commons".
Anybody else like me who associates the term "to let rip" as another way of saying "to break wind"? :D

It crossed my mind, when I saw the name of the thread, so I had to read it. Of course, I read all the posts...

Definately, toc and if had gone ahead and 'let rip ' in the House of Commons then I would imagine someone would have said, "More tea Vicar" :D :D :D

What a shameless self-publicist that boy is. What's the betting that, along with the journalist and photographer, the policeman who happened to walk past and threaten to arrest him was on the payroll of the Express and Star?
What will be the next step in his new hard-hitting campaign to save the NHS? Setting up a group on Facebook, perhaps?
