Shrewbury Chronicle 22nd November page 5 "Letting dogs off leash in park wrong" I have'nt got a dog and not really bothered about the dog on leash in the Quarry park debate but the comments from Councillor David Farmer made me raise an eye brow or two, "I feel angry that yet again the council buckles under pressure from residents in our town". That is what the council is there for is it not, to listen to the residents and then act on there needs. Councillors are elected to represent the people of there area or ward so if the residents are dead set against a proposal then the council should change there minds, i know on some things this does not always happen but to be angry that the council has "buckled" from pressure from the very people that they represent in the town that they live in and pay tax which pay councillors expensives and services. Long live democracy.

Apparently views of residents should be conceded in some situations according to David Farmer ! <_<
