Title: Red Alert Description:Red squirrels under threat
Andy Cooke - October 12, 2007 08:02 PM (GMT)
Over the last 130 years, the red squirrel population in the UK has dropped from approximately 3.5 million to just 160,000 – mainly due to competition from, and disease carried by, the greys. Around 160,000 are left in the UK
Never really seen the point of eating squirrels - once you've stripped all the fluff off them there's very little meat to be had.
In that respect, they are rather like pheasants - not worth the bother.
