Title: Guess The Village
Description: Number 8 (?)

Once, there were three pubs in this little village, a school, a chapel but no church (you had to go a mile or so to the next village to find one).
Years ago candles and soap were made here and it was a good place to get your laundry done, due to the brook running through here. Coal was mined nearby.
It hasn't been an easy place to get to but that should improve shortly.

I see that we were lazy using the old post :D
is it Hanwood or "'an-ud" as the locals say?

Is it Hookagate?
the Royal Oak(now a house)
the Swan(now the Cygnets)
the New Inn(run by the Hunter family for decades)
there is/was a primitive methodist chapel and the church is in Annscroft.
the Rea brook runs through here.
the coal was from the nearby Hanwood field.
the Redhill bridge has been closed for structural repairs.
and somebody made candles and soap but I am guessing about this.
