Title: Make Money Fast...
Description: unusual busker sighting...

There's someone playing the bagpipes by the Darwin Gate at the moment (14:05) - worth mentioning, I thought, for novelty value if nothing else. A bit better than some of the scruffs you sometimes see about.
Also takes away some of the awfulness that is the Darwin Gate sculpture/monument thingie too :-)

Probably the same guy I saw a couple of years ago. The police were hanging around, but he was playing as he was wandering up Shoplatch and High Street, so they probably couldn't do anything to stop him.

Beats the whistling 'blind' person anyone remember him outside the Pridehill shopping centre years ago ?

I like the idea of a wandering minstrel playing the bagpipes - but are you sure it was not just subliminal marketing by the Edinburgh Woollen Mill shop?

Did anyone notice the similarities between the Darwin Gate and the machine that you entered for returning to youthfulness on Dr Who? :D

It does bear a slight resemblance to something on an episode of the earlier series (not the "Next Generation" lot - the original 1963-1989 series). It also bears a resemblance to something a sculptor or artist might produce when inspiration is really, really lacking..
