Title: Guess The Village
Description: No. 2

Harder one this time...

I am in a small village with a pub which has a name that is related to a sport which can be found at both Chester and Ludlow. The border with Wales runs right next to the village, though only Blackhurst Farm is in Wales itself. I'm not far from a canal, though I'm told that I can get to it by travelling down three roads in three directions from here!

Where am I?

Must be to the north west of Wem, somewhere through Shropshire's very own Bermuda Triangle, otherwise known as Whixhall. I've been there, seen the pub, the canal and can't remember what the place was called but was lost at the time.

Bettisfield?

are you in Northwood?

Correct - it's Northwood. :)

The pub's name is the Horse & Jockey (and you can go to the racing at Chester or Ludlow around here). The Shropshire Union Canal is not far and is indeed in three directions (the Prees Branch can be seen at Dobson's Bridge to the east).

Bettisfield?

...is actually in Wales! The English-Welsh border in that area is very odd and Wales cuts right into what is really England ;) - then again, Shropshire takes in "Welsh parts" such as Clunshire...
