Okay, we will be viewing properties in Shrewsbury on Tuesday next week and then going on to Wellington on Wednesday. We are going to stay at the Travelodge in Bayston Hill for Tuesday night with our 2 year old and thought eating-out will be a complete nightmare with him as he just HAS to run around constantly.

So, what take aways are there in Bayston Hill and where are they?

I live in Bayston Hill. To my knowledge there are 3 chinese take aways and a chip shop/kebab shop. The best chinese is on the parade on this map. The name changed quite recently so I forget it now. Very generous portions though and tastes good. They often give you free dessert (sweet apple fritters). Chip shop is on same parade - not the best chips you'll ever taste. There is a chinese at the cross roads which I haven't been to. And there is one on the A49 as you approach the village. This one is fine, but not as good as the one on the parade. Hope you like Chinese food! :rolleyes: If you want Indian then if you just go down past the Meole Brace retail park there is an Indian take away called the Clay Oven - next to the petrol station here:

as far as takeaways go i can only think of the greek chip shop which is on the parade of shops in bayston hill, where there is also a good chinese takeaway-which deliver free i believe within 5 miles or something like that. that one is called happy china. and there is also one called harvest which is before you get there which we used on saturday so we can vouch for both of these!!
i will try to give you directions if you need them.
if you like an indian there is one in meole right next to the bp station which is just over meole brace island after sainsburys and about the same distance from the travel lodge.

i am pretty sure if you ask they will all deliver either free or about£1 ish so might be easier to get them to deliver-although you will need menus too..
